Defaced
Not as simple as it seems at first sight. This is actually a composition in Paint Shop Pro using two digicam photographs taken miles apart. The tree bark texture was from a local forest. The information notice was photographed at a wood carving from felled beech trees at Whitegate Village. It was perfectly intact and contained in protective laminated plastic. The fire damage and damp curling were created in PSP, while the rusty nails and shadows were hand-drawn additions.
